Bathing is an important subject in natural cure for eczema, there are two contentions on this, some clinics prefer that taking baths is not good for the eczema; baths should be taken on alternate days. But the American Academy of Dermatology’s advice is two to three short baths a day to hydrate the skin followed by application of moisturizers within three minutes after bath. Harsh soaps and bath oils with fragrances should be avoided; one natural cure for eczema is colloidal oatmeal bath. Oatmeal is soothing on inflamed and itchy skin. There are commercially made colloidal oatmeal bath treatments but it is easy to make at home. Colloidal oatmeal are grounded oats to powder form and then suspended in water. In a tub full of water two to three cups of the oatmeal is recommended. As a substitute for soap, just put the colloidal oatmeal in a cotton wash cloth or preferably a cheese cloth. Squeeze off the excess water and use as a scrub.
